Lede: A 75-year-old man was killed in a crash involving his SUV and a racing vehicle in Bear on August 22.
According to Delaware State Police, Jack Gantz of Newark was driving a Chevrolet Trax north on Bear Christiana Road around 3:20 p.m. when he began to turn left onto Freedom Road. His vehicle was struck by a southbound BMW 335 in the right lane that had been racing another car.
Authorities said Gantz was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking for witnesses to come forward with any information regarding the incident.
