Meghan Novick Killed in Bell County Crash on TX-95

Bell County, Texas – Meghan Novick, 27, of Bastrop, was killed in a crash involving a big rig on TX-95 in Belle County Tuesday afternoon, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The incident was reported at about 12:20 p.m. April 6.

According to the DPS, a 2007 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by Novick was stopped at a stop sign on TX-95 when she failed to yield to the right of way as she went through the intersection.

The pickup truck was struck on its driver’s side by a 1999 Peterbilt truck tractor towing a semi-trailer.

Novick was rushed to Scott and White ER Temple, where she was later pronounced deceased.

The driver of the big rig, a 50-year-old Lexington man, was not injured.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
