Orlando Woman Dies in Orange County Crash at Mira and University Boulevards
Orange County, Florida (July 4, 2023) – A 77-year-old Orlando woman was killed in a car crash Sunday evening in Orange County.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the crash was reported at around 4:45 p.m. July 2 near the intersection of North Mira Boulevard and University Boulevard.
Reportedly, a southbound Chevrolet Malibu on North Mira Boulevard approached University Boulevard's intersection.
At the same time, a westbound Subaru WRX on University Boulevard approached North Mira Boulevard in the center lane.
The Chevy driver attempted to make a left turn to travel east on University Boulevard and veered directly to the path of Subaru.
The Subaru slammed into the left side of the Malibu.
Malibu driver was declared deceased at the crash site.
A 19-year-old Orlando man operating the Subaru was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The collision impacted all lanes of University Boulevard for several hours.
Additional information about the accident was not provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
