Denton Community Mourns Fatal Crash Victim

DENTON, TX — A tragic crash occurred Friday night near the intersection of West Windsor and Northway, resulting in the death of 58-year-old Rossana Iodice.

According to authorities, 22-year-old Noah Kendrick was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and intoxication manslaughter in connection with the incident. He has since posted bail.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene just after 9 p.m. Witnesses reported hearing a loud bang and observed two vehicles involved in the crash. One vehicle ended up in a yard, while the other faced the opposite direction in the road.

Denton Police stated Kendrick was driving eastbound on W Windsor when he struck Iodice's vehicle, which was turning left onto Northway.

Neighbors expressed their shock and sadness over the loss. Erik Lucas, a nearby resident, reflected on the couple's kindness, stating, “It's just sad to know that somebody three doors down that I've been knowing for over 15 years, died.”

The Chestnut Tree, a local restaurant on Denton Square, honored Iodice on social media, describing her as an “amazing cook” and a “selfless person.” Community members have shared memories and photos of her celebrated baked goods.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, urging drivers to adhere to the speed limit of 35 mph on W Windsor as residents call for increased safety measures.
