DES MOINES, Iowa — A three-vehicle crash on the 31st Street bridge over Interstate 235 closed the bridge temporarily on Monday afternoon.
According to Des Moines Police, the incident occurred shortly before 12:45 p.m. Multiple injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
Emergency responders, including police and fire crews, arrived at the scene to assist. Authorities have directed motorists to utilize 42nd Street as an alternate route during the closure.
