Crash Blocks Egan Drive Near McDonald's

JUNEAU, Alaska — Two vehicles were removed from Egan Drive following a three-car accident this morning, according to the Juneau Police Department (JPD).

The collision occurred around 8:24 a.m. near McDonald's, obstructing northbound traffic. Emergency crews are on-site, and the Department of Transportation is clearing debris.

Authorities reported all three vehicles sustained disabling damage. While no significant injuries were reported, two individuals were transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital and later released.

Bradley Bethel, 32, was cited for causing the crash for failure to stop at a red light while driving a 2008 GMC Yukon. The other drivers included a 59-year-old woman in a 2003 Chevy truck and a 45-year-old man in a 2013 Toyota Sequoia.

No drugs or alcohol were involved, police confirmed. Egan Drive inbound is being reopened as crews finish cleanup efforts.
