Kenai Resident Dies in Turnagain Pass Crash

A Kenai resident died Wednesday afternoon in a accident near Turnagain Pass.

Dominique Flenory, 31, was driving north on the Seward Highway at Mile 71.5 when her 2001 Cadillac lost traction and collided with a southbound Ford F150 pickup truck, according to Alaska State Troopers.

The driver and passenger of the Ford were taken to the hospital by Emergency Medical Services for treatment of their injuries. Flenory was at the scene.

Flenory's body was transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Anchorage, and next of kin have been notified.

Recent snowfall on the western Kenai Peninsula has created hazardous driving conditions, with additional snowfall predicted throughout the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Authorities are investigating the incident.
