Military Truck Involved in Crash Near Capitol Hill
WASHINGTON (7News) — A military truck collided with another vehicle near Capitol Hill on Wednesday morning, prompting a swift emergency response.
The D.C. Fire and EMS Department reported the crash at N. Carolina Avenue Southeast and 8th Street at approximately 6:18 a.m., with confirmation provided around 7:48 a.m. There was an entrapment, and emergency crews extricated the individual from the vehicle before transporting them to the hospital with minor injuries.
According to D.C. Fire officials, the injured party was in the other vehicle and not in the military truck. The Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating the incident. 7News is seeking additional information from the National Guard regarding the crash.
