Driver killed in Franklin County I‑270 crash identified.

Authorities on April 24 identified a 24-year-old man killed in a wrong-way crash on I-270 in Blendon Township at 12:47 a.m. April 23.

According to the Franklin County Coroner's Office, the victim was Aobyda Nadeem, 24.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office said Nadeem was driving a Cruze the wrong way on I-270 south, just north of Dempsey Road, when it collided head-on with a southbound A3.

Authorities said both drivers were transported to Mount Carmel East Hospital in critical condition, and Nadeem was later at the hospital.

The interstate was closed for several hours while deputies investigated and cleared the vehicles from the roadway, according to the Sheriff's Office. The investigation is ongoing.
