Gene Snyder Northbound Reopens After Semi Truck Overturns
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — All northbound lanes of the Gene Snyder Freeway near U.S. 42 reopened at approximately 2:30 p.m. on April 13, following an accident involving a semi truck and an SUV.
According to TRIMARC, the incident occurred just after 11 a.m. No injuries were reported, though the driver was transported to a medical facility on a stretcher.
Crews worked for several hours to clear the scene, resulting in the blockage of all northbound lanes, both left and right shoulders, and the right ramp. Traffic delays extended back to Interstate 71, with authorities advising motorists to seek alternate routes.
The investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
