WARREN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX NEWS) — A single-vehicle crash on Girkin Road on Monday at 5:27 p.m. resulted in serious injuries and one fatality.
Authorities reported that a vehicle veered off the right side of the road, overcorrected, and collided with a tree. All five occupants were airlifted from Bowling Green to trauma centers in the Louisville area.
According to the Warren County Sheriff's Office, 70-year-old Robert Wilson succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday. Investigators indicated that alcohol is suspected to have contributed to the incident. The investigation is ongoing, with no further details available at this time.
