Lengthy Delays Reported on I-495 in Westborough Due to Crash
WESTBOROUGH, MA — A crash on I-495 northbound just before Route 9 led to extended delays Wednesday morning.
According to the Westborough Fire Department, first responders arrived at the scene shortly after 7 a.m. No injuries were reported; however, traffic has been reduced to one lane.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) confirmed that lane closures will impact the I-495/I-90 interchange, causing significant slowdowns during the morning commute.
As of 9:40 a.m., officials reported an 8-mile backup on I-90 eastbound prior to I-495, exacerbating congestion due to the incident.
