NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A 22-year-old motorcyclist died following a crash Saturday evening on Highway 100 near Edwin Warner Park.
Authorities identified the victim as Colby Chase, who was riding a Suzuki GSX at approximately 6 p.m. when he collided with a BMW SUV. Police stated the BMW driver was making a left turn out of the park at the time of the incident.
Chase was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. A second motorcyclist suffered minor injuries while laying down his bike to avoid the crash, but the occupants of the BMW were unharmed.
The BMW driver reported to police that he did not see Chase before the collision. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
