COLUMBUS, Ohio — Services for Master Sgt. Tyler Simmons are scheduled April 10 at First Church of God on Refugee Road.

Visitation is 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a “homegoing service” at 11 a.m., according to WSYX.

Simmons, a Columbus native, died last month when an air tanker supporting Operation Epic Fury crashed over Iraq, killing all six crew members, authorities said.

He served as a boom operator with the 121st Air Refueling Wing at Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base and was promoted to Master Sergeant posthumously, officials said.

Capt. Seth R. Koval and Capt. Curtis J. Angst, also from Ohio, were among those killed, officials said.
