Eugene Mirman Hospitalized After Fiery Car Crash
BEDFORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE — March 31, 2026, at approximately 11:55 a.m., Eugene Mirman, 51, was rescued from a burning vehicle following a crash at the Bedford Toll Plaza on the Everett Turnpike.
According to the New Hampshire Division of State Police, a veteran trooper on Governor Kelly Ayotte's security detail witnessed the incident, quickly intervening to pull Mirman from the vehicle through a window before it became fully engulfed in flames.
Mirman, known for voicing Gene Belcher on Bob's Burgers, was subsequently transported to a hospital. A representative confirmed that he is recovering and expressed gratitude to bystanders, first responders, and hospital staff. “We kindly ask for privacy for Eugene and his family as he focuses on recovering from his injuries,” the statement read.
The crash is currently under investigation, although no charges have been filed. State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall commended the actions of the trooper, noting their heroic efforts to save Mirman.
