VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A five-vehicle crash occurred on Interstate 264 westbound near Independence Boulevard Friday afternoon.
According to Virginia State Police, a Chevy Trailblazer lost control while navigating the entrance ramp from North Independence Boulevard, initiating a chain reaction. Two vehicles were reported to have caught fire.
Authorities confirmed four individuals sustained injuries in the incident; however, none are considered life-threatening.
Emergency response included crews from Virginia Beach Fire Department. The crash remains under investigation, and lane closures were implemented during the response.
