Hampton Man Dies in Skiing Accident at Sugarbush Resort

Warren, VT—A 43-year-old man from Hampton, New Hampshire, died Saturday afternoon in a skiing accident at Sugarbush Resort, according to authorities.

Cory Hartman fell on Stein's Run at Sugarbush's Lincoln Peak and slid into a wooded area off the trail. Ski patrol members located him unresponsive and transported him to the base of the mountain, where he was met by Mad River Valley Ambulance. He later succumbed to his injuries.

Hartman, who had three children, is remembered for his adventurous spirit and vibrant personality, according to a fundraising page established in his honor.

The Chief Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. Authorities stated they do not suspect foul play.
