PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — A 59-year-old man from New Port Richey died Saturday from injuries sustained in a five-car crash on Little Road that occurred on Tuesday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The man reportedly suffered a medical emergency while driving southbound, losing control and veering into the northbound lanes. His vehicle collided with three other vehicles, with a fifth vehicle also involved in the incident.
Authorities confirmed the man was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries and later succumbed on Saturday. No injuries were reported among the four other drivers involved, according to the release.
Officials have not disclosed the identities of any victims at this time.
In a separate incident, the Polk County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) announced the arrest of a suspect linked to the murder of a 56-year-old Bartow man, found deceased in a “pool of blood.”
