DUNN CENTER, N.D. — At approximately 7:07 a.m. on Sept. 30, two commercial straight trucks were involved in a collision on North Dakota Highway 200, east of Dunn Center, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP).

The westbound truck, operated by a 29-year-old male from Heidelberg, Miss., reportedly crossed the center line, colliding head-on with an eastbound truck driven by a 63-year-old male from Fargo. The impact caused the eastbound truck to tip onto its side and slide into the south ditch; the westbound vehicle came to rest blocking both lanes.

Both drivers sustained serious injuries. One was to Trinity Hospital in Minot, while the other was transported to Sanford Hospital in Bismarck. The condition of both individuals remains unknown at this time.

The NDHP has confirmed that the driver of the westbound truck faces multiple charges, including driving under suspension, reckless endangerment, and failure to maintain a single lane. The roadway was cleared later that day, and the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
