BUTTE, N.D. — A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Ruso man on Saturday night.
Authorities identified the deceased as 63-year-old Ward Knutson, who was driving a 1999 Ford F-250 on North Dakota Highway 53. The incident occurred late on November 8 or early November 9, when Knutson lost control of the vehicle, which then entered the south ditch and rolled onto its driver's side.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol reported that Knutson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was found deceased at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol. Butte is located approximately 50 miles southeast of Minot.
