The Springfield Police Department is investigating a vehicle versus pedestrian crash that occurred on Feb. 4 in the parking lot of Waypoint Church on 58th Street.
Authorities reported that the incident resulted in significant injuries. The crash happened during a dispute between two teenagers. A 17-year-old former Thurston High School student was arrested and faces multiple charges, including DUII, second-degree assault, and second-degree criminal mischief. The suspect has been booked at the Serbu Youth Detention Facility.
The victim, a 14-year-old Thurston High School student, was transported to a hospital for treatment. Due to their ages, the names of those involved have not been disclosed.
