A multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 95 in Brevard County resulted in two fatalities and multiple injuries Wednesday afternoon.
The crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. near Exit 201, involving three cars and one tractor-trailer, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Authorities confirmed the deaths of a 34-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman at the scene. Four other individuals were transported to local hospitals with serious injuries.
Emergency responders, including Brevard County Fire Rescue, worked to clear the scene, resulting in the closure of two southbound lanes for over two hours. The road reopened at approximately 4:00 p.m.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, and no further information is available at this time.
