KOKOMO, Ind. — A Kokomo man died in a collision between a passenger vehicle and a semi-trailer on Monday afternoon.
According to Indiana State Police, the crash occurred shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Jefferson Street near Bridle Way. A 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche driven by 39-year-old Anthony LaCluyse was traveling eastbound when it crossed the center line and struck a 2013 Kenworth semi-tractor, which was pulling a trailer and driven by 40-year-old Cody Ayres of Bringhurst.
LaCluyse died at the scene despite life-saving measures. Ayres sustained no injuries.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and, at this time, neither alcohol nor narcotics are believed to have contributed to the crash.
