Fiery crash on I-290 in Shrewsbury leaves no injuries

SHREWSBURY, Mass. —
At approximately 2:41 p.m. on Sunday, a vehicle caught fire following a crash on Interstate 290 in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.
Video footage showed flames and thick black smoke rising from the vehicle, which had come to rest in a wooded area adjacent to the highway.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, and all occupants of the vehicle managed to exit safely before first responders arrived. Authorities reported that the individuals sustained only minor injuries.
The incident prompted a brief closure of the affected lanes for emergency response and cleanup. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
