WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (KUTV) — One person sustained life-threatening injuries following a three-vehicle collision on Interstate 215 in Salt Lake County.
According to Utah Highway Patrol officials, the crash occurred on the northbound lanes of I-215 near 2900 South at approximately 8:00 a.m. Friday.
One individual was transported to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray with serious injuries. Authorities confirmed there were no additional injuries reported.
The incident resulted in the closure of three out of five lanes on the highway during rush hour, causing significant traffic delays. The timeline for reopening the lanes has not yet been established.
Authorities are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
