INDIANAPOLIS — A man has died following two crashes on the city's far east side early Monday morning.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, calls reporting an accident with injuries were received just before 6 a.m. in the 3700 block of North Shadeland Avenue, near East 38th Street.

Shortly afterward, authorities classified the incident as an “accident .”

IMPD reported that the two crashes occurred within minutes of each other. The man involved in the initial accident was struck by a second vehicle while standing outside his , sustaining critical injuries.

Emergency medical personnel transported him to a nearby hospital, where he later died. He was identified as 29-year-old Joshua Edward Green.

Authorities confirmed that the two other drivers involved, both women, remained at the scene and are cooperating with the investigation.
