WRIGHT TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A motorcyclist suffered critical injuries in a collision with a bus on the morning of July 3.
The incident occurred around 10:21 a.m. at the intersection of 8th Avenue and Roosevelt Street, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities reported the bus, traveling west on Roosevelt Street, stopped at the two-way stop before pulling out to cross 8th Avenue. The motorcycle, heading south, collided with the bus.
A 22-year-old man from Coopersville was riding the motorcycle and sustained life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a hospital in Grand Rapids, where he remains in critical condition, officials said.
Deputies have closed the intersection to conduct an investigation. No additional details regarding the bus driver or second vehicle were provided.
