Marblehead, MA – Late Thursday, a boating accident at State Street Landing left five injured, including two rescued from the water.
At approximately 11 p.m., emergency crews responded to reports of a boat crash with multiple injuries. Authorities confirmed that the Marblehead Fire Department, along with the Salem and Beverly Harbormasters, arrived and located two victims who were subsequently transported to waiting ambulances for evaluation.
Firefighters reported that a vessel was found resting atop Grays Rock, having completely exited the water. Crews initiated a search for additional victims, finding one person on the rock who was secured and provided emergency medical care while en route to State Street Landing.
Two more individuals with minor injuries were also brought to State Street Landing by the Salem Harbormaster. All involved parties have been accounted for.
Current reports do not specify the cause of the accident or provide updates on the victims' conditions.
The Marblehead Fire Department acknowledged the collaboration between various agencies, including the U.S. Coast Guard, Marblehead Police, and Beauport Ambulance, which facilitated a swift rescue operation.
