EDWARDS MAN AIRLIFTED AFTER CAMDEN COUNTY CRASH
An Edwards man was airlifted to the hospital following a vehicle accident in Camden County on Thursday evening.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported the crash occurred at 6:38 p.m. on MO 7, near Granger Lane. Involved were a 2018 GMC Acadia, a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado, and a 2022 Ford Maverick.
According to the MSHP report, the Chevrolet crossed the centerline and collided head-on with the Ford. After that impact, the Chevrolet veered off the left side of the roadway, striking a tree, while the Ford subsequently crossed the centerline and hit the GMC head-on. Both vehicles then traveled off the right side of the roadway.
The driver of the GMC, a 21-year-old woman from Brumley, sustained minor injuries. The Ford driver, a 65-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to University Hospital. No injuries were reported for the Chevrolet driver.
Authorities confirmed that all drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident. The incident remains under investigation by the MSHP.
