Lede: A car crash in Dent County on Tuesday resulted in the death of a 70-year-old man from Laquey, Mo.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the incident occurred at 10:45 a.m. when a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado was stopped on Highway 32 at County Road 5260 to make a turn. A 2008 Chevrolet Impala approached from behind and rear-ended the Silverado.
The driver of the Impala, a 70-year-old man, sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:35 a.m. MSHP confirmed that he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Emergency response was initiated promptly, and no further details regarding additional injuries or lane closures were recorded. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
