Boulder City Man Dies After E-Scooter Crash

BOULDER CITY, Nev. (KTNV) — A 22-year-old man died following an e-scooter crash on Tuesday evening.

According to Boulder City Police, officers responded to Buchanan Boulevard and Boulder City Parkway on Nov. 4 around 5:25 p.m. They found the man with life-threatening injuries and he was transported to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators reported that the e-scooter rider struck a vehicle exiting a parking lot. The rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.

“Witnesses and Boulder City first responders made every effort possible to save the man,” said City Manager Ned Thomas. “Our hearts go out to the family and friends of this young man, as well as the driver of the involved.”

Authorities stated that the driver remained on the scene and cooperated with officers. There is no suspicion of impairment.

The Nevada State Police is handling the ongoing investigation.
