Braintree, MA – Early Saturday morning, a head-on collision involving two SUVs occurred on Pond Street, resulting in serious injuries.
The crash was reported around 4 a.m. near 549 Pond Street. According to Braintree Police, both drivers sustained injuries; one driver, operating a Nissan, was unconscious and suffered serious internal injuries.
Emergency medical services transported both drivers to South Shore Hospital for treatment. Authorities have not released their identities.
Pond Street was closed from the Randolph town line to King Hill Road but has since reopened.
The Massachusetts State Police C.A.R.S. section, MSP Crime Scene Section, and the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office are conducting an investigation into the incident.
