Fatal crash on I-10 kills woman and two children.

KENDALL COUNTY, Texas — A crash on Interstate 10 killed a woman and two children Monday afternoon.

Authorities said the collision occurred just before 3:30 p.m. in the westbound lanes near Mile Marker 524. A 2013 GMC Sierra was stopped in the right lane when it was rear-ended by a 2018 Cascadia tractor-trailer.

Passenger Giselle Cristobal, 23, and two male children were at the scene. The driver of the GMC Sierra, a 31-year-old woman, was transported to a medical center in San Antonio, while a 2-year-old girl was to a hospital.

Witness George Rodriguez expressed community sorrow, stating, “I mean it's terrible.” Another local, Bryan Salinas, noted frequent accidents in the area, highlighting concerns about road safety.

The Texas Trucking Association offered condolences, emphasizing support for the “Share the Road” program to improve highway safety practices.

The Department of Public Safety (DPS) is conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident, with further details pending.
