Eastbound I-94 Closed Following Multi-Vehicle Crash Near Sprinkle Road
KALAMAZOO, MI – Eastbound I-94 was closed near the Sprinkle Road exit on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, following a multi-vehicle crash involving at least eight vehicles, including a semi-truck and five personal vehicles.
According to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS), the crash occurred just after 12:30 p.m. Both the Sprinkle Road exit and the Portage Road onramp were impacted. Authorities reported that at least two individuals sustained injuries, but no fatalities have been confirmed.
Emergency responders, including KDPS and local medical units, arrived on scene to provide assistance and transport the injured. Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles involved, as significant debris covered the roadway.
As of 5:59 p.m., the eastbound lanes remained closed while an investigation continued. Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the cause of the crash or the identities of those involved. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes to avoid delays.
