NICHOLAS COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — A man was killed and a woman injured in a side-by-side crash early Monday in Nicholas County.
Authorities said Steven E. Parsons, 50, of Mt. Nebo, died after his side-by-side left Old Nicholas Road and struck an embankment around 12:30 a.m. Both Parsons and his passenger, 63-year-old Dawnett Reba Bowman, were ejected from the vehicle.
According to the Nicholas County Sheriff's Office, both were transported to a local hospital, where Parsons succumbed to his injuries. Information regarding Bowman's condition or the extent of her injuries has not been released; she remains hospitalized.
The sheriff's office is continuing to investigate the incident. No further details are available at this time.
