One dead, another hospitalized following motorcycle crash in Queensgate
One person died and another was hospitalized after a motorcycle crash in Queensgate on [date] at approximately 2 p.m.
According to Cincinnati Police, dispatchers received concurrent 911 calls reporting a stabbing and a shooting in the 2400 block of Western Northern Boulevard. One individual is currently in emergency surgery at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, though the nature of their injuries remains unclear.
When responding to the calls, officers spotted a motorcyclist fleeing, leading to a chase. The pursuit ended in a fatal crash near Dalton Avenue and Hopkins Street.
Jack Fay, an employee at a nearby paint store, observed a motorcyclist speeding southbound on Dalton Avenue before hearing a loud bang, which he described as sounding like two vehicles colliding. Police arrived on the scene about 30 seconds later.
John Rofles, a foreman at a steel shop across the street from the crash site, reported hearing a significant crunch and witnessed over 25 police officers arrive shortly thereafter.
The identity of the deceased driver has not yet been released. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities continue to gather information regarding the events leading to the crash.
