CYNTHIANA, Ky. (LEX 18) — A plane crash near a solar farm field in Cynthiana on Thursday left one person seriously injured and another with minor injuries.
According to Judge Executive Jason Marshall, the seriously injured individual was transported to a Lexington hospital. The pilot, who sustained minor injuries, was observed walking around the crash site before being taken to Harrison Memorial Hospital.
The aircraft crashed behind the solar field, damaging an electric line. Authorities reported no known damage to the solar panels or surrounding property, as the facility is currently under construction.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
