GARDEN CITY, Idaho (CBS2) — A traffic stop attempt early Saturday in Garden City resulted in a crash, injuring two people.
At approximately 1:13 a.m. on June 6, 2026, an Eagle Police deputy attempted to stop a black Subaru near North Glenwood Street and West State Street. The driver fled southbound at high speed when the deputy activated emergency lights.
About 1.5 miles later, the Subaru driver tried to turn west onto West Chinden Boulevard and collided with a truck. The Subaru driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance. A female passenger in the Subaru suffered minor injuries and was later released. The truck driver was uninjured.
The Garden City Police Department is overseeing the ongoing investigation, coordinated by the Ada County Critical Incident Task Force. No further information is available at this time.
