RAYWICK, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lieutenant Brian Hatt of the Raywick Fire Department died Tuesday morning, four days after sustaining injuries in a single-vehicle apparatus rollover. He was responding to a tractor-trailer fire when the incident occurred.
Authorities confirmed that Hatt, 51, succumbed to his injuries on March 21. Another firefighter involved in the crash sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and is currently recovering in the hospital.
Hatt, a veteran of the U.S. Army, had served with the Raywick Fire Department for 12 years and is survived by his wife and three children. The nonprofit organization Supporting Heroes shared the news of his passing on social media.
