Driver dies weeks after I-65 crash near Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man has died weeks after a crash on Interstate 65 near the Jefferson-Bullitt County line.

According to the Louisville Metro Police Department, the incident occurred on Sept. 19 at approximately 6:15 p.m. The crash took place on I-65 N near the 124 mile-marker when a northbound vehicle drifted across lanes and collided with a work truck.

The driver of the , 51-year-old Daniel Ingram, was extricated from his vehicle by Okolona Fire and transported to the hospital in critical condition. The individual operating the work truck was not injured.

Ingram succumbed to his injuries on Oct. 11, as reported by the Jefferson County Coroner's Office. The investigation is currently being led by LMPD's Traffic Unit.
