19-Year-Old Dies in Head-On Collision on Southeast Side

A 19-year-old man was killed in a at an intersection on Columbus's Southeast Side on Oct. 24.

Rashard Brown, of the Southeast Side, was driving eastbound in a 2018 Civic on East Innis Avenue when he drifted left of center and collided with a westbound 2020 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck at the intersection of East Innis and Kelton avenues around 4:38 p.m., according to a Columbus police crash report.

Brown was transported in critical condition to OhioHealth Grand Medical Center, where he was at 5:19 p.m. The driver of the Silverado was in stable condition.

The Columbus Police Accident Investigation Unit is currently investigating the crash. Authorities encourage anyone with information to contact the unit at 614-645-4767.
