EAGLE, Idaho — A 16-year-old motorcycle rider died from injuries sustained in a crash on Floating Feather Road and N. Downing Road on May 5.
Nicholas Sandry, of Eagle, was pronounced dead on May 7 after efforts to save his life at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise were unsuccessful. He was riding a 2010 BMW S1000 motorcycle at the time of the incident.
Authorities reported that the crash occurred when Sandry was traveling west on W. Floating Feather Road. A 2005 Toyota Sienna, driven by a 54-year-old man, was traveling east and turned right onto N. Downing Road, colliding with Sandry's motorcycle.
The driver of the Toyota Sienna sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The collision resulted in lane closures on Floating Feather Road for approximately three hours.
