16-Year-Old Motorcycle Rider Dies in Crash on Floating Feather Road.

EAGLE, Idaho — A 16-year-old rider died from injuries sustained in a crash on Floating Feather Road and N. Downing Road on May 5.

Nicholas Sandry, of Eagle, was on May 7 after efforts to save his life at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise were unsuccessful. He was riding a 2010 S1000 motorcycle at the time of the incident.

Authorities reported that the crash occurred when Sandry was traveling west on W. Floating Feather Road. A 2005 Sienna, driven by a 54-year-old man, was traveling east and turned right onto N. Downing Road, colliding with Sandry's motorcycle.

The driver of the Sienna sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The collision resulted in lane closures on Floating Feather Road for approximately three hours.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
