Richland County, S.C. – One person was killed in a car crash that left two others injured on Sunday in Richland County.
The fatal collision happened near the intersection of McCord's Ferry and Screaming Eagle roads at around 7:27 p.m., according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
A 2021 Toyota pickup truck traveling north on McCords Ferry/SC-601 collided with a 2003 Ford pickup that was headed south on McCords Ferry.
The impact of the collision sent the Ford off the roadway where it crashed into an embankment.
The driver and passenger of the Toyota were injured and were taken to Prisma Health for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
