Jane Lew, W.Va. – On June 10, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m., a fatal two-vehicle collision occurred on Interstate 79 southbound near the 101-mile marker.
According to authorities, a car driven by 48-year-old Douglas Skaff of South Charleston, W.Va., rear-ended a tractor trailer while the truck was ascending a hill. Emergency responders pronounced Skaff deceased at the scene.
The West Virginia State Police Crash Reconstruction Team has been notified and is investigating the incident. At this time, no further details about additional injuries or other vehicles involved have been confirmed.
