Lede: An 85-year-old man died in a wrong-way crash on Cedar Avenue in Lakeville on Saturday morning.
Authorities said officers responded to the scene just south of the intersection at 185th Street West around 11:40 a.m.
According to the initial investigation, a Jaguar XJ was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Cedar Avenue when it collided with a Tesla Model 3. The driver of the Jaguar, who was 85 years old, succumbed to his injuries.
The 44-year-old woman from Farmington driving the Tesla suffered critical injuries. There were no passengers in either vehicle.
Lakeville police stated that impairment is not suspected to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
