VIOLET TWP., Ohio — A wrong-way crash on U.S. Route 33 near Allen Road early Saturday left one woman dead and another injured.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers were called shortly before 1 a.m. to a two-vehicle, head-on collision in the westbound lanes.
Authorities said 28-year-old Bailey Johnson was traveling east in the westbound lanes and struck another vehicle head-on.
Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was taken to Grant Medical Center with serious injuries, troopers said.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Fairfield County Sheriff's Office are investigating. No additional details were immediately released.
