MILWAUKEE — Cincinnati Reds centerfielder Dane Myers was Monday night, June 29, after crashing into the outfield wall during a game against the Brewers.

According to Manager Terry Francona, initial x-rays at the ballpark were negative, and Myers was transported to a local hospital due to significant pain.

Team medical staff responded on the field, and Myers was carted off after the play. Authorities said he remained conscious.

The collision followed a lunging catch on Andrew Vaughn's deep drive to center in the 4th inning. Myers held the ball.

Francona said doctors planned to evaluate Myers' shoulder, neck, head and ribs. No diagnosis or timetable for return was announced.

The Reds led 1-0 at the time. The club said further updates will come after additional evaluation.
