One dead after police chase ends in crash near City Park on Monday evening, according to Louisiana State Police.
Authorities reported that New Orleans Police Department officers were chasing a dirt biker who fled a traffic stop when the biker collided with a car at Canal Boulevard and City Park Avenue around 5 p.m.
The dirt bike driver was transported to a local hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured.
Detectives from State Police's Troop B and the Force Investigation Unit are investigating the incident. Additional details have not been released.
