TAUNTON, MA — A woman died following a single-car crash late Friday night.
At approximately 11:15 p.m. on Country Street, Police responded to a collision involving a 2001 Honda Accord, which struck a telephone pole, according to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office.
The driver, 26-year-old Selina Mendez, was transported to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries. A 23-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries.
The Massachusetts State Police, along with Taunton police, are investigating the incident. Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the crash.
