WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WJAR) — Woonsocket Police arrested a woman at Wright's Dairy Farm on Wednesday in connection with a hit-and-run crash from January.
Hosanna Nystrom, 29, was charged with failure to stop for an accident resulting in damage to a vehicle. The arrest occurred while she was working at the farm's cow milking station.
The incident involved a two-vehicle crash at Lindy's on School Street on January 17. According to authorities, one vehicle fled the scene while the other driver, parked in a handicapped spot, reported the license plate and provided a description of the other driver.
An investigation, including a review of CCTV footage, identified Nystrom as the driver. Witnesses at the restaurant confirmed her identity after observing her pulling a tab prior to the crash, during which she had reportedly been drinking for about an hour.
Nystrom was questioned at Wright's Dairy Farm on January 22, and a warrant for her arrest was subsequently issued.
